Forbes
Wholesale... The company has been trading in one form or another since 1983 and continues to trade in much the same area of business, ie the import and distribution of firearms & accessories, mostly for target shooters and black powder enthusiasts. We supply and support our products to the wholesale market, licensed gun dealers and retail to end users. All sales of firearms are subject to applicable State and Federal laws, there is no compromise on this point. Sale of firearms within Victoria may only take place from our licensed premises or at venues where we have a permit to operate away from the licensed premises. Interstate firearm sales (other than at Arms Fairs where we have the relevant Permits) can only be delivered via a Licensed Gun Dealer, we will supply shooters but must deliver to a dealer in your area. For firearm accessories we will generally deliver via post direct to you although we have stockists in many parts of Australia, see stockists for a comprehensive list. We are able to export our product range without Australian taxes, all firearm exports require an Export Permit from the Australian Defence Department under the Waasenaar Convention (this covers such stuff as military & nuclear weapons, you know, the agreements to stop Saddam Hussein from buying muzzle loaders from us etc, gross overkill for most of what we sell but required). To get this Permit usually requires an Import Permit issued by the relevant authorities in your country, inquire for advice locally as we don't have access to the required information for many countries. More information About Us is available here. |

NSW Game Council... WHAT IS CONSERVATION HUNTING? Conservation hunting is hunting undertaken to enhance overall environmental outcomes by managing the impact of game species and lessening the populations of feral animals on our natural and agricultural environments. The concept and practice of conservation hunting has always been close to the hearts of responsible hunters. Until the establishment of the Game Council, New South Wales had not taken full advantage of the capabilities of private hunters on both public and private land, in an organised, regulated way. Hunting is an important and legitimate tool in nature conservation management, particularly as it relates to over-populations of introduced species.

| The
Bullet Factory... Here at The Bullet Factory we strive to produce excellent quality and great value projectiles designed specifically for Australian hunting conditions. We are continually increasing our range of calibres weights and styles. We make all of our own tooling so we are able to draw our own jackets as well as swage our bullets. We try very hard to keep our costs down but never at the expense of quality. Our bullet designs strive to be simple accurate and devastatingly effective. The Bullet Factory is a small Australian Manufacturing Business that I run in my spare time As the name suggests We make projectiles mainly for hunting. We also make odd and obsolete cartridges to special order and some custom machined projectiles and archery products as well. I've been Keenly interested in hunting and firearms technology for many years and have been an avid reloader and bullet maker for nearly as long. I've often used my formal training as a tool maker to turn my hand to this fascinating field of endeavour. |
The Australian
Shooters Party... The Australian Shooters Party (ASP) hopes to repeat the success of its New South Wales counterpart, in the Federal election on November 24 2007. The NSW Shooters Party doubled its representation in the Upper House of the State Parliament in the election in March this year. The upcoming Federal election gives sporting shooters, anglers and 4WDers a new opportunity to strengthen their political voice and protect their sporting and recreational activities from the threat of the extreme Greens. The ASP has teamed up with the Australian Fishing and Lifestyle Party (AFLP) because the two groups share many common objectives, including a strong opposition to the Greens’ idealistic, skewed and dangerous vision for the future. In Queensland, ASP preferences will be
directed towards the AFLP and other like-minded groups such as the
Christian Democratic Party, which are opposed to the Greens’ irrational
attitude towards the shooting sports and legal firearm ownership, as
well as usage of state forests and marine parks. |

Animal Art
Taxidermy... I began taxidermy in 1996 with the aid of a correspondence course. Soon, I realized that the methods I had been studying were quite outdated and I began researching modern methods, equipment, tans, procedures and products. It has been a long journey and I don’t believe it ever ends. I specialise in mammals. Why? I don’t know. I have just always had a fascination with mammals, ironic that I also enjoy hunting them. I am mostly self taught but I have also trained at Kaweka Taxidermy in New Zealand and at present I run my business, Animal Art Taxidermy, on a part time basis. I am constantly thinking of new ways to display mounted specimens and I like to think outside the square. I believe my way of thinking, work quality and attention to detail, is what draws my clients to me. If they share their imagination, I can provide the results they desire. |
FEDERATION OF
HUNTING CLUBS... The Federation of Hunting Clubs came into being in November 1996, after the then Shooters Party MLC, John Tingle, pointed out to Premier Carr that some 90% of all firearms licenses were taken out for the purpose of hunting. He was able to persuade the Premier that the incoming firearms laws would disadvantage these people – especially the large number of ethnic groups, who were, basically the only firearms owners organised into hunting clubs, because hunting clubs would not be recognised. The Legislation was amended in November 1996, even before it had been proclaimed, to recognise membership of a hunting club as a “genuine reason” for a firearm licence. The Shooters Party encouraged and helped organise the formation of hunting clubs in many part of NSW, and formed them into the Federation of Hunting Clubs, which is a recognised umbrella group under the Firearms Regulations. The Clubs are able to organise insurance, register members’ hunting activities for justification of the firearm licence, and most provide training meets, including sighting in facilities, trophy dressing and safe hunting. The Federation is affiliated with and supported the Shooters Party, and is represented on the NSW Game Council |
